Moody Blues - Alan Moody Fundraiser - Cheque Presentation
The culmination of the Moody Blues campaign saw Alan, and his daughter Claire, visiting Roots Hall on Saturday.

They had a wonderful time, Alan being joined on the day by old team mates Tony Hadley, Paul Clark, John Walker, Ron Poutney, Frankie Banks and Warren May, plus seeing for the first time in decades many old friends and fans. Even the Roots Hall legend himself, Sid Broomfield, popped in to say hello.

As has been said before, Alan has been overwhelmed by the response of the fans in their tribute to him, and once he gets back to his native North East he plans to send out a note of thanks. The campaign has truly been a superb effort by the fans coming together in appreciation of one of their own, and we at the Trust applaud the action of you all in your support and participation of what has been achieved.

On the day we presented a cheque for £6,248.17 to Alan but expect the final total to be closer to £6,500 once all of the fund raising initiatives have been finalised.
An eBay auction by Dave Goody of his fathers copy of Dave's autographed club history book raised a further £150, and the online auction for the signed Alan Moody print was completed today with the winning bid being £60.

Once again, thank you to all that took part in the campaign a
nd if you haven't donated yet to this worthy cause you can still do so by clicking the Donate Button where you will be taken to the main Moody Blues Page.
The final total raised will be announced in around 7 to 10 days time.
