The Shrimpers Trust have teamed up with Chablais Sport GB to produce a range of Southend United Retro Shirts through their ‘world retro’ brand.

The normal price for an adult shirt is just £39.99 (look out for special discounts) including Carriage & Packing and delivery is normally within 3 weeks from placement of your order.

The Trust will receive a donation from every shirt sold.

Unfortunately due to image/copyright regulations etc, we cannot use any original manufacturers logos on the shirts.

The ‘Aussie’ Shirt

To celebrate the dawning of a new era for our club under Australian owner Justin Rees, here is a special shirt we’ve had made which we think is a bit of fun. We hope you like it!

The 2008/09 Shirt

The shirt worn when SUFC finished 8th in League One under the guidance of Steve Tilson & Paul Brush.

A version of this shirt is being worn by the Legends Team in a Match for James.

The 1998/99 Shirt (home)

Our last full season of the 20th century saw us wear this rather stylish top – a season which saw Rob Newman finish as our top scorer!

The 1971/72 Shirt

The classic ‘Chelsea’ shirt worn by Big Bill Garner, Spud Taylor, Billy Best, Gary Moore and co in a season which saw us finish as Division Four runners-up and secure our first ever promotion.

The 1982/83 Shirt

A variation on the 1980/81 promotion shirt with ‘Access’ as the sponsor and the shirt in which Steve ‘Inchy’ Phillips kicked off his remarkable Shrimper goal scoring run in.

The 1969/70 Shirt

Due to the controversy concerning the ‘almost black’ 1968/69 shirt, at the end of that season four different shirts were trialled and put to a fans vote to choose one for the next season, with the ‘West Brom top’ winning out.

At the time of that vote WBA were FA Cup holders – sadly that had no impact on the Shrimpers as we were knocked out in the first round wearing it! However, it remains an iconic Southend United top, very much being a departure from the norm as not before or since has such a bold stripe been worn by us.

The 1910/11 ‘Beef & Mustard’ Shirt

For one season in the early days Southend United experimented with what became affectionately known as the ‘beef and mustard’ shirt. Form whilst playing in it was not great though, and there was a drive to ‘go back to blue’ which eventually won through. We think you will all agree it is a unique top, and one to wear if you like to get noticed!

The 1988 to 1990 shirt

The last of three shirts (and we think the best) sponsored by Firholm, This one was used for two seasons culminating with our 1989/90 Division Four promotion campaign and that great win on the final day up at Peterborough.

The 1968/69 shirt

That ‘almost black’ one from the late 1960’s which in the end the club had to stop playing in due to it being argued that the team looked too much like referee’s! It was a season when Billy Best ran riot bagging four hatricks in a total of 31 goals, ably supported by some great Shrimper names like Micky Beesley, Eddie Clayton, Chico Hamilton and Gary Moore.

The 1992 to 1994 Shirt

Sometimes referred to as the ‘Elonex shirt’ this is the one we all remember Stan Collymore terrorising defences in during six glorious months in the 1992/93 season.

The 2004 to 2006 Shirt

The plain blue Betterview shirt that saw the club rise two divisions at the height of the Tilly/Brush managerial era.

The 1964 to 1965 Shirt

The club ended an early 1960’s series of striped shirts with this one for our 1964/65 Third Division campaign.

The Wembley 2015 Shirt

Southend United wore yellow for one of the most iconic games in our history, that win on penalties v Wycombe at Wembley in 2015.

A shirt to wear with pride as a memory of a truly fantastic day.

The 1976 to 1978 Shirt

The 1976-78 era was a special time for Shrimpers, being at the very start of the David Smith managerial era and including a great cup tie away at Derby plus the 1977/78 Division Four promotion winning campaign. The shirt includes a red trim, rarely used by the club in past kits, and we have yet to see any original shirts from that time still in existence so now is your opportunity to re-live those times!

The 1985/86 ‘Laing’ Shirt

The ‘Laing’ shirt started a trend of the club using blue and yellow which lasted for six seasons in various forms and harks back to the Bobby Moore managerial time.

The Very First Southend United Shirt – 1906

The Shrimpers kicked-off their life as a football club in 1906 and first took to the field in a light blue shirt with a black laced up collar (though no colour photos exist from those times we have evidence of this from a colour card produced at the time). So, you now have the opportunity to wear something which plays a unique part in the club’s history.
