The Shrimpers Trust is delighted to announce that we have now reached our initial goal of 1906 members.

In September 2023 we set out to reach the symbolic figure to reflect the year of Southend United Football Club’s foundation as a means to increase our mandate and to ensure that the voice of supporters is enhanced.

To celebrate our history and the significance of the number 1906 the Blue Boar public house, the birthplace of Southend United FC, will now hold Shrimpers Trust membership number 1906.

We would also like to share this occasion with our members and a draw was made using a random number generator, and we are pleased to announce the following prizes and winners:

 Membership Number  Name
1st Prize  2 x tickets to Southend United FC’s Sponsors Evening  1967  David Bell

Our ability to serve the fanbase is greatly improved with every single person that signs up, so you can still join our ever-increasing membership ranks by clicking here.

Being a Shrimpers Trust member gives you an opportunity to participate in regular surveys, to meet with the Trust Board in our online surgeries, to attend events such as our End of Season Review evening and our Annual General Meeting, featuring a Question & Answer session with special guests.

Your engagement helps us to promote supporter influence, giving fans and the community more of a say in the running and ownership of Southend United; to represent supporters and the local community by being a democratic voice; to promote community engagement, and request the same of the football club.

We aim to encourage good governance, and influence Southend United FC to operate democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility as well; and to be inclusive, open and accessible to all supporters of the club regardless of their age, income, location, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral beliefs.

So, thank you for being a member of the Shrimpers Trust and for all your help in driving our membership upwards.

Up the Shrimpers!
