Welcome to the Official Away Supporters Travel for the 2023/24 Season.
If you haven’t watched the Blues on the road before, believe me you do not know what you are missing. So, whether you are a first time or regular away supporter, are travelling as a family, with friends or alternatively on your own and want to avoid the need to drive and the headache of parking, you are welcome to come and join us on the Trust coach.
As the official Away Supporters Travel Organiser for Southend United, the Trust will take at least one coach to every away league and cup game.
We have once again appointed SBC Leisure as our travel partners and will be using their luxury coaches for our journeys around the country throughout the forthcoming National League season.
Specific details regarding our rules on travel, are detailed within our Terms and Conditions of Travel. So as to avoid any problems on the day, all supporters should ensure they have read, understood and agreed the Trust’s Terms and Conditions of Travel before they move ahead to book their seat.
Pick-up & Drop off Points:
Coaches will leave Roots Hall where supporters are able to park curtesy of Southend United. We then pick up from the Elms in Leigh, followed by Hadleigh Church, Tarpots Corner Benfleet, the Watermill in Basildon and finally the Fortune of War, Laindon.
Pricing Structure:
The primary objective of our Away travel service is to enable as many Southend United fans as possible to get to away games. In terms of finances, we aim to break even over the season. Supporters should hopefully find our pricing structure reasonable and competitive.
Travel Bookings:
Seat bookings will be made on-line only. Your booking guarantees you a seat on the coach at the point that your booking is processed, using the secure service of PayPal. To make a booking please click the booking tab to the right of this page and follow the instructions provided. As part of this process, you will be directed to the Shrimpers Trust: Terms and Conditions of Travel.
To effectively manage the coach booking process we will disable the on-line booking option prior to each game as coaches become nearly full (typically this is around 3 days before and/or when there are around 5 places left). At this point the dedicated travel line (07892 905338) can be used. Due to work commitments this line will only be available Monday to Friday after 6.30pm, so please don’t call before this time. Calls will however be taken at the weekend. Please note that supporters should only call the travel line to book a seat when the on-line option has been disabled.
Please also note that we are no longer taking travel bookings by email.
Supporters should in addition note that on the advice of Essex Police and in the interests of protecting the Trust against any liability in relation to any negative situation that might arise due to a supporter’s inappropriate behaviour on arrival at the destination, including within the ground itself: it is with regret that the Trust is not able to accept any supporter for travel who is under the age of 18, unless they are accompanied by an adult (who will be 18 or over). This supporter will be deemed as having responsibility for any supporter under the age of 18 for whom they have booked travel. Travel Discounts:
Whilst all supporters are welcome to travel with us, we do offer a discount on the standard fare to all Trust members. In addition, any junior traveller who is under the age of 18, (who will be accompanied by an adult paying the full fare), will travel for just £10 to any game. This discount is subject to a maximum of 3 juniors per adult.
